Dear Career Expo Participants,

        I would like to thank you for participating in the First Annual Career Expo at Anthony High School. I  really appreciate you showing up and showing the students here at Anthony High School what career opportunities are available. We would like it if you participated with us in the future career expo's that we will be hosting.

what is BPA?

BPA (business professionals of america) is a program that teaches students how to be leaders and how to learn to be social with other people. =)

Event Evaluation

           Some things that were good during our career expo were that i saw some parents talking to some colleges. I also saw some parents trying to convince their kids to go up to businesses and talk to them. I also liked the way we treated the businesses as guests. I even got a comment on how good we treated our guests.
            Some bad things that i saw were that the businesses were leaving early. I also didn't like the way that the people that were participating in the career expo were on their cellular phones. I also didn't like how people didn't know what all the businesses were doing here at our school.
            Some things we could do differently next time is to advertise our career expo to our students more. Other things we could do differently is the way we put the tables and how we organize everything. We could maybe even put them in order by what the businesses do. Another thing is that we could've asked them to stay much longer?
             I suggest that next time we should tell more people about out whats going on that way they won't be asking the day of the event.m

why are we having such a hard time getting businesses to comit?

We are having a hard time for businesses to commit on coming to our career expo because, maybe the businesses think that the career expo is to hire students when in reality its to help students find a bright future. OR they don't like the way we present ourselves over the phone.

my career choice

my career choice is to become a teacher and teach Pre-k

What i learned from all the phone calls is:

What i learned from the phone calls i've made is that making calls isn't as easy as it looks. What i am doing differently now is that when i communicate with people over the telephone or e-mail, i need it to be nice and professional.

The BIG issues with Hall Passes

A  problem in our school is the new Hall Passes. Its a big issue in our school because in order to leave the classroom we need to carry around a piece of paper with information on it. Also because after breakfast and lunch students need to use the restroom, and we only have three passes for the six weeks. Honestly, I don't think the hall passes are such a good idea.  :)
